Education in Knaresborough

Knaresborough schools have a long history of academic excellence and service to the local community. Our secondary school, King James’s School, is proud of its history and tradition, being founded in 1616 with a Royal Charter from King James I.

All our schools believe in strong partnerships between school and home and work closely with families and the local community. Admission applications are made via North Yorkshire County Council’s on-line application system at northyorks.gov.uk
