Explorer Units are the fourth section of the Scouting family after Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

We love the outdoors.... hiking, climbing, caving, camping, bivvying, hammocking, expeditions, mountain biking, cycling, winter camp, canoeing.

We don't mind the indoors too much either... cooking, quizzes, film & pizza, poker, racing, pinewood derby.

We also run the Duke of Edinburgh's award.

Explorer Scouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme including traditional Scouting skills, such as camping, survival and cooking, as well as a wider spectrum of adventurous activities, from abseiling to zorbing.

Our aim is to run the best programme possible at the lowest cost. Currently we charge £27 a term plus the cost of any activities you take part in.
Meet as and when activities dictate, but also some weeks on Fridays 7.00-8.30pm @ The Old Castle Girls School, Knaresborough HG5 8AS
