Knaresborough Museum Association

Knaresborough Museum Association (KMA) is a community run charity working hard to establish a new museum that will showcase Knaresborough’s geology, archaeology and social history and complement existing provision.
Activity

The charity is run entirely by volunteers who range in age from 14 to 86. Our mission is to enhance the lives of local people by engaging with them in heritage related activities and to add value and enjoyment to the visitor attractions in Knaresborough.

The Heritage Centre is free entry to view the current exhibition although as a charity run by volunteers we do appreciate any donations to the Knaresborough Museum Association. We offer historical and local information to our visitors and also have a Heritage shop with books, guides and souvenirs to purchase. A guided walk leaves every Saturday at 2pm from the Centre for £5 each and accompanied children are free.
KMA are based at 12 High Street, Knaresborough, HG5 0EQ and run the Knaresborough Heritage Centre, which is open to the public on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm.
